There's three different girls with blusher: The girls who go for drama, the girls who prefer a natural glow and them who don't wear any. Either way it's important to find the right shade for your skin tone.
The Perfect Blush Shade:
Fair Skin: Rosy Pinks |
- Start off with looking in the mirror and smiling! This will cause the apples of your cheeks to stick out and it then gives you the perfect point to start your application.
- Using a large, round blusher brush for powder or fingertips for a cream or tint, dust or dab the blusher on to the apples, then blend along your cheekbones.
- Less is more so try to keep it subtle. If you want it more defined then try and build it up gradually. If you do overdo it, try and use a face powder to down it down, you might need to cleanse and start again! But remember practise makes perfect!
Which Formula Should I Use?
Well, this depends on two things: your skin type and what you find easier to apply. Different blushers need different applications and tools, while you may be a disaster at tint, you might be fantastic at powder! Test out as many as you can before you finalise it.
Tint or powder: Great for oily and combination skin types.
Cream: Brilliant on dry skin and normal skin.
Looks To Avoid:
- THE DOLL FACE When applying blusher to the apples of your cheeks, remember not to go OTT! Two perfect circle is not the look you want.
- THE TIGER STRIPE Regardless of which shade and formula you choose, make sure you blend it well. Blusher is about adding a healthy glow to your cheeks or defining them cheekbones, not painting a stripe down the side of your face.
- RED FACE: Who wants to go out looking like a tomato? No-one! You want to look cute and girly, not like you've got a cringe on!
The next BBB Beauty is going to be: Sun-Kissed Style.
