Lovely Days In London

Yesterday we took a trip to London - mum and Jack went to the Chelsea game, while Dad, Ashleigh and I walked around visiting different places. It was a lot of fun to get out and explore the city and the places we haven't been before: Chelsea.

I was very pleased with how my makeup turned out, it was very simple but a full face, so it looked rather natural. As I was happy with the result, it was actually surprising by the minimal amount of products which I actually used.

PRODUCTS USED:
- Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, shade 1
- Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, shade 51
- Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder
- MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter
- Nivea Hydrate Lip Balm
- Benefit Roller Lash
- Rimmel Brow This Way Gel
- MAC Lipstick Peach Blossom

Where is your favourite place in London?

Be Productive! Tips

Everyone procrastinates... It just happens that I am a professional at it.

1) Don't stay in PJ's and comfy clothes all day. Getting into your workout clothes or applying mascara will help and refresh your mindset - PJ's give you an excuse to lounge around.

2) Turn off all your social medias and put your phone and laptop away. If you need your laptop then close all tabs not needed down. Check your social medias in your break time or once your important piece of work is complete.

3) Be sure to give yourself mini 5 minute breaks - you won't feel as tired at the end of it and this will give you time to check your phone, have a toilet stop, grab a drink and some snacks.

4) In the morning, the first thing you should do is create a to-do list, this is my favourite tip. Make sure you stick to it and complete everything from the list before doing other things.

5) Set hours when you want to achieve tasks by - work hard to achieve the time limit.

6) Clear all your things out the way of your desk and work space - the clearer the area, the clearer your mindset. This will also avoid distractions.

7) Invest in a diary and weekly planner. This is my favourite way to keep on track with my deadlines.

8) When you feel the most productive, work on your hardest task. Everyone has different times when they feel the most productive, for some this is when you wake up or for others it is before they go to bed.

9) Don't plan days to work every day of the week... you won't give yourself and the tasks you 100% full effort if  you are exhausted and burnt out. Everyone needs rests and breaks  at least one day a week. Even one day will allow you to de-stress and breathe.

10) The last tip is not to get into the habit of working from your bed. Once in a while is perfect - feeling ill and having a bad day. Being in bed will encourage your body to slack off and you will work slower.

What is your favourite tip to help you get things done?

Hyped On Highlighters

There is something which I find ever-so satisfying about highlighters - the way they glide onto your skin, the appearance of them in their packaging and the insane shades which many brands promote.

I have picked up my three favourite highlighters from different formulas - there is a mini review for a powder, liquid and stick application.

MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter

This highlighter was my first ever one I purchased and it remains one of my all time favourites! When I first picked this up I personally didn't think it would be that good as it is £3 from an inexpensive brand, but I was in total shock with my first impressions. The powdered shade in my collection is insane and it is such an gorgeous colour! I use this on my cheekbones for a subtle look or if I'm feeling more adventurous I would apply more layered on top of each other. This highlighter looks gorgeous in the Summer when there is natural lighting. The brush I would recommend using is the Real Techniques Blush brush

Benefit High Beam

High Beam is my favourite liquid highlighter because of the satiny pink glow it leaves on your cheekbones. One thing I adore about this highlighter is the fact it will suit any skin tone, sometimes I find it difficult to find the right highlight to suit my skin but this is amazing. The only downside I would mention is the blending - when I dab this on to my skin, it is hard to blend evenly into the skin, as it does leave a pink line on your cheeks. Although it does leave a patchy line if it isn't blended well, we know how pigmented High Beam is, which is always a good thing!

Collection Speedy Highlighter Glow Stick

My most recent highlighter has been this, so I can't give an exact review as I haven't used it as much as the others. From my first impression, the highlighter is pigmented but it leaves speckles on your cheeks when you apply it... it can seem very patchy. Other than the first application, when you have evened out the first application, the highlighter does look amazing and makes your cheekbones really glow! Having an highlighter on a stick is such a cool way to apply... I love the concept!
